The powder blue looks soft against the simple strapless neckline. There is room across my broader chest, and the gathers add shape at my waist. I feel elegant without a lot of jewellery.

The strapless edge settles neatly across my bust, with the waist in the right place below. My hips are comfortable in the skirt. I like seeing my curves without feeling squeezed into them.

A little relaxed at my straight waist, just as I prefer. The neckline still sits neatly in place.

I checked the hip measurement before anything else, and the fit is lovely there. The folds settle smoothly over my lower half. I can sit down without the skirt twisting out of position.

The fitted middle presses on my tummy, and sitting makes it worse. I need a more forgiving size.

Bust, waist, hips: everything settles naturally. I love a strapless dress I can feel relaxed in.

I like what the gathers do for a slim outline. The front could hug my middle more neatly, though, and I can pinch extra fabric there. A small alteration should improve a dress I otherwise enjoy.

The fabric falls cleanly from my waist over fuller hips. No sideways tugging across the front.

I have a fuller middle, yet this dress leaves excess fabric there and the top slips lower as I move. I do not feel secure in it. A smaller size might work, but this one is too roomy.

The bodice fits my broad chest neatly. I like the balance between bare shoulders and the draped skirt.
